That is my same setup. Target acquisition is so smooth and you can let an entire mag loose in <10 seconds with basically no recoil.
If you like the scorpion I also recommend building an 9mm on an AR platform. Lets you reach out a bit further but you can still use cheap 9mm instead of expensive ass 5.56/.223.
I have an AR pistol and a couple of ARs also. I never believed in the 9mm, went to a pond and use my buddies to shoot some turtles at about 200 yards and it was pretty solid, so I built one. It's not reliable for stopping power but it sends lead at about 85% the cost of the other. I only have about 3000 rounds of .223 but around 10000 rounds of 9mm on hand.
fan of 9mm in an AR. I prefer purpose built platforms for that.
There is a purpose built AR platform in 9mm.
CMMG Banshee, with the delayed blowback.
I have thousands of rounds downrange out of a 5.5" barrel. Not a single malfunction, using cheap ammo. Rings the gong every time at 50 yards while doing rapid fire.
Scorpion is a fun weapon. Have one myself. I loaded 25 mags to take to the range the other day but never went.
