I hear you, man. But allow me to overthink his situation. That might've been his life in that business. People talking about all these stores like they are all big corporations (which still wouldn't be okay). They've been hitting Autozones and O'Reilly's. Anybody with sense knows that those are franchises run by small business owners or groups of small business owners.

Imagine this poor guy about to see his life's work destroyed for absolutely no reason. He didn't want to be there defending his store with a sword on a Saturday night. Imagine if he has a family. They'll see still images of his lifeless body on TV at some point in the next week. He didn't want to be there defending it. But maybe he felt that was all he could do. Cops aren't coming. Take a stand there or your life is ruined anyway and you begin the slow descent into bankruptcy, depression, and whatever else.

RIP if he is dead. I think it's pretty clear he is. Yeah, I made up this backstory, but what do you think drives a small business owner to stay downtown and defend his shop with a sword on a Saturday night? I doubt he was just playing real life Left 4 Dead.

Completely senseless and disgusting.
