Capacitors and transformers explode violently like that. Especially the large ones. All going off at once would be a hell of a fireball like we see here
They've been planning to go after the grid forever though so we must stay vigilant of this possibility.

The explosion is the power substation going up. All of the other fires you see in the background are due to a forest fire.
