Is not like they can use the rifles and pistols Willy nilly on rioters. Even though I’m sure most would like to by now.

Plus they are currently duty bound and lawfully required to obey the local Governments unless the State or Feds intervene and take control. In that case they listen to the Feds.

Which means how they handle the rioters is decided by sympathetic mayors and city administration regardless of the Officers personal feelings.

rubber bullets, sonic weapons, pepper spray. They had options and they used none

See last part of my comment. They don’t decide their ROE. The city government does. And multiple places have been using rubber bullets, and pepper spray to little affect.

Only a handful of Police Departments in a handful of ultra wealthy cities have Sonic weapons. Because they got the budget to purchase them. Most Police departments do not have them. National Guard MP units may have some. But most have only been activated within the last 24 hours and haven’t yet started deploying into Hot zones.

What will be breaking point for all of those brave cops serving under pussy mayors? When he/she will say: You now what? Fuck you mayor. I'll do something. I'll quit, I'll shot looters in a leg and after quit. Anything. How they can explain to their family why they can't protect community.

I'll shot looters in a leg and after quit.

So they can then can be arrested because that would be considered illegal.

Them quitting would then mean nothing would be protected plus a lot of them would consider it abandoning their brothers and sisters in uniform .

Like it or not. They are following the law. The law dictates local police are accountable and controlled by the local Government. The Government Which controls their budget, hiring practices, etc. Along with maintaining the ability and option to disband the department at will.

We could change it. But then who would that police department be accountable to and controlled by? The State? The Federal Government?

The system was supposed to leave local police accountable to the local Government elected by the people who they would police.

Now the police could decide the local Government isn’t acting in the communities best interest and essentially pull a mini coup and install a new Government. But the legality of that move and whether it’d hold in court is debatable as is the precedent it would set.

Only Time the Local Police would be accountable to anyone else would be if the State or Feds take over due to Emergency.

Nah see, those are LAPD cars. Most are from like 1995 - so I’m sure they left them there to get sucked up so they could get new ones.

Peculiar how this has been the typical scene which it seems like they staged the vehicles..this shit is organized on so many different levels. I’ve seen cop cars in my city that are old, dirty, peeling paint. It’s just a big money scheme. 11 vehicles to be ordered that someone is going to skim off the top.

They cannot protect us so we no longer need to obey gun restriction laws.
