Decided to have a browse through the front page today on Reddit - I deleted my account there a few months ago and have rarely been back. Before looking at the front page I'm not quite sure what I expected to see, but it's even worse than what I could have imagined.
The entire, ENTIRE front page, is basically all cop hating stories, spins, twists and whatever else that entirely condones and sides with the rioters and further propels the ACAB push. A few random anti-Trump stuff thrown into the mix as well of course and it seems pretty much all subs have become political at this point. Video after video just bashing cops, with no videos at all of the shit we are seeing here and even on twitter of the endless MASSIVELY fucked up things these rioters are doing to innocents.
I have a hard time putting into words my absolute visceral hatred for that site and what it does to the youth who frequent it. I'm lucky I'm old enough that I could see the manipulation for what it was and get the hell off of there, but teens and early 20's whose friends all hang out there are just so vulnerable to the endless EXTREME left-wing propaganda and anti-America propaganda from other country shills.
And it's all based on bullshit, this extreme racial divide has been fanned and flamed by left-wing media outlets like CNN and definitely Reddit and they just eat it up, digest it, regurgitate it out with all this implanted anger that isn't even based in reality.
On one hand who can blame them I guess when all they are fed is this shit over and over. CNN, Reddit, MSNBC bury any story that doesn't fit the narrative - the narrative being "systemic racism is absolutely out of control and the worst it's ever been look at this new video PROVING this!", even though you could show tons of other videos that show the opposite.
I'm just so angry. Visiting the front page has made me hate u/spez and anyone that has anything at all to do with Reddit so much and also the big media companies too like CNN and MSNBC that actively push these narratives that in essence destroy America from the inside out. The youth of today is fucked.

Cops are people. Not all people are good. Finding bad cop stories is easy just like finding good cop stories.
However, there are screwed up laws, and cops are still enforcing those too. Who takes away guns or helps block 2A? Cops.
You write like you worship cops. They are still people. Calling them either "the problem" or "the heroes" is painting with broad strokes just like with racism.

I'm going to have to disagree, it's hard to find the good cop stories because those never make the news.
Nobody ever reported on my dad and his fellow officers offering help, rebuilding houses, standing guard, hanging out with kids, etc etc etc.
At least at my dad's department (before his retirement) forced a colleague to quit because he had an anger issue and they didn't want that to end up badly for anyone.
my local PD posts those kinds of stories on their FB page in the interest of community outreach. The stories are out there, they just don't make the news sadly.
