And pedestrians don't have the right of way on the freeway either. On top of that, they don't have the right of way at all if they are crossing the road outside of a crosswalk. And no crosswalks exist on the freeway. Of course this is all moot, but it just shows how the driver is covered from every angle.

He was pretty patient too. They were looting his truck and threatening him and trying to get him out of the car. I’d have hit the gas a long time ago. Wouldn’t feel bad about it, either. What the fuck else is he supposed to do, let people loot his truck and then get out of his truck so they can beat him to death and take the truck too? If those ‘peaceful protestors’ had gotten the truck, they’d have gone around running people over or ran it into a building. Assuming they could figure out how to drive it.

All the media outlets reporting the death of the "protester" fail to mention the assault on the driver and the fact that the reason he was turned into a meat crayon is because he was breaking into the first trailer of the tandem trailer truck when the the driver took off in an effort to save himself from the looter.
