ANTIFA would be no issue at all if the police were just allowed to perform riot control, it's really that simple. That doesn't change that simple riot control would largely make them disappear. The police can't do simple riot control in 2020 and that's your problem. Police acting in a riot control function can not be concerned with the media portrayal of their duties. Want ANTIFA to disappear? Ban masks, perform basic riot control on site, and identify agitators through pictures after the fact via investigative means, charging them accordingly. Make a database of the people charged with crimes related to ANTIFA activity to make future identification easier. I guarantee you ANTIFA would all-but disappear if these measures were taken....guarantee.
I do not see antifa or blm or any other foot soldier type groups disappearing unless people are afraid to be identified as part of antifa individually. The mask bans might help but ultimately I feel their strength is in sheer numbers, organization, and financing. All of which they get from the political classes. If we made an example of their "leaders" started arresting any celebrity or politician fund raising for antifa legal defense, and threw life sentences or death penalties at the political leaders of the movement, I think we'd be able to knee cap them pretty effectively. Also put a permanent flag in their background so I know never to hire anyone associated with the group.
