Ah! The "Mob Mentality." There's no rhyme or reason for the violence. It may start out because of some inciting event or for a "heroic cause", but in very short order it sweeps up everything and everyone in it's path, and becomes mindless destruction for destruction's sake. There's no controlling it, and it can only be stopped by extreme force, or when it runs out of things to destroy and peter's out in a heaping hangover of self-pity, aspirin and ashes.
Stay the fuck out of its way, lest you end up in a premature grave for NO damn good reason.
