Talked to a guy at the shop today, asked if business was good. He laughed and said they've never sold more guns in 70 years of being open.
Picked up a Mossberg 500. Thought about buying one of those "Typhoon" mag feds, but ain't sure about it. Also looking at some AR's! A guy next to me bought six handguns - must be stocking stuffers!
I’m all for supporting local businesses but do also pay attention to your wallet and use sources like gun.deals (no .com or anything) and r/Gundeals (one of the last remaining good subreddits). I support my Local Gun Store (LGS) with range time, occasional ammo purchases, some random gun buys but other than that I try to buy all online.
For example, when I bought my AR556 it was for sale at the LGS for $799 but I bought it online for $467. With that over $330 savings, I bought a 9mm Shield M&P2.0 and had enough left over that I bought a holster for it. I basically got two guns and a holster for what one would have cost me just the rifle at the LGS. I like to support it; but if the decision is either support them and get basically another gun with the savings, I’m picking 2 guns every time.
Plus, about 80% of the posted deals are coming from small time gun stores/family owned stores, so don’t feel bad for not buying a firearm from your LGS as you still are supporting a small business, just elsewhere, plus your LGS will still make a little bit off you because they will need to act as your FFL.
Can confirm. Bought another gun and thousands of rounds today. Tons of first time gun and AR buyers today. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. A New York retiree liberal buying his first gun.
Just like toilet paper, maybe don't buy six guns and leave some for your neighbor to buy? (I know it was someone else buying them, just saying that to make the point)
You just need to be good with a few. Training is worth more than anything
Actually, we're also out buying guns.

Husband has his stockpile. Was thinking of getting a Moss 500 Bantam for me.

I'm not
This is horrible
I'm an American. These are American cities they're destroying.
At some point, the "liberals" gotta wake up and stop voting for the idiots
Don't open a business in a blue area. Hard lessons.
They were conquered by immigration
Capitalists pushed it too
They wanted cheap labor

They're already destroyed buddy.
America is already destroyed. It's filled with diversity and now you're seeing the consequences.
It's over. Secession and civil war is coming.
Hey, at least you'll have an exciting life!
Unfortunately we'll end up paying to fix it all.
Exactly
Where do these people think insurance companies get their money from?
This affects all of us
We're at the point where 45% literally don't care. A few more years and they'll be a majority if something doesn't change.
Personally... I hope there is a MASSIVE fucking tax revolt...
No more free shit...
Nope.
Basically
Actually, we’re sitting at home eating popcorn and cleaning our guns.
Not really. This is headed towards more conservative areas as well. Not a fun time at all.
When it hits the red you're gonna see some shit.
There's an old saying, Never interrupt your enemies when they are fighting each other.
Pretty much
Chicken Wings, but ... yep.
I like lots of butter and salt!!!
Yes
So he's a racist, then.
Because that's another way of saying he thinks blacks are failures and feels sorry for them.
Haha.
This guy gets it. I watch these livestreams and just lol.
