The guy who ran her over was mentally ill. His mom was talking about all his medication.
His car was surrounded, he had slowed down his speed. Then someone whacked the back of his car with a stick (in some of the original videos you can both clearly see and hear the strike on his car) and he surged forward to get away from the attack on his car.
If he had wanted to intentionally harm people, he wouldn't have slowed but would have picked up speed.
He never got near her. The only physical injuries ever reported by the media were from attempts to revive her, compression fractures to the sternum from CPR, not lower injuries like the hips/thigh bones consistent with automobile impact.
She wasn't even anywhere close to where Fields rammed his car.
