The best drop-free mags are still the cheapo surplus aluminum ones. They aren't tacticool but they are cheap, function, drop free, and you really dgaf if you never pick them up.
Also, don't load 30, load 20. Easier to seat the mag in the mag-well and avoids 99% of the feed issues magazines have. Typically in the first few rounds (max loaded)

You can load modern mags just fine.
I like the Lancers more, easier to see ammo level and they have steel feed lips.
