Nazis are National Socialists, and Socialism is on the Left. Commies in education decided to magically declare it as "far Right" to disassociate themselves from Hitler, but I'm not going along with the BS. The American Right is about small government, and Socialism is not that.

Agreed.

To me, the further left you go, the more government takeover.... finally Fascism.

The further right you go, the less government & more freedom ... to the point of Anarchy.

The fascist economic system was an attempt by socialism to hybridize with capitalism, so they could have the wealth-generation of capitalism without having to give up the wealth redistribution.

They left property in private hands, but the government still controlled what you produced, how much, and what happened to the product.

The government being the agent of the public, and control being defacto ownership, Fascism was a variant of Socialism.

That and the “party switch” are 2 things that I could never buy into even as a young skull full of mush absorbing history lessons. Couldn’t quite connect the dots, but even back then it didn’t pass the smell test.

RNC convention 1949: "5! 4! 3! 2! 1! HAPPY NEW YEARS, FELLOW DEMOCRATS!"

College professors 2020: "Yep, that sounds about right."
