The FCC needs to craft a new regulation that allows people to choose the channels they want to subscribe to instead of going through cable subscription packages. CNN's subscriber numbers would fall hard and they'd lose most of their sponsors.
CNN was losing money hand over fist when I worked there 12 years ago. The other Time Warner properties keeps CNN alive. There is no way CNN could survive on it own.
A lot of their viewership comes from airports, restaurants etc. that play CNN on their TVs because they make deals to have it be the only station they play. If it weren't for that a lot less people would be aware of their existence.
You'll note that the Atlanta mayor had half the police force in the lobby saving CNN from the mob they helped foment. She knows what side her bread is buttered on.
CNN sucks. Need to shut it down. Make people pay individually for subscription to it. No one will.

CNN sucks. We never watch them. Actually, we don't watch Fox anymore either.
I do like OAN. But Xfinity (Comcast) refuses to carry OAN. It's infuriating, and political with them. They refuse.
So dump Comcast You can buy the cable over IP Anyways
