So far it has been peaceful, but it gets louder every evening. There have been riots in other cities in my state. We are supposed to move into a new house in two weeks out in the country. Please just pray that my husband, kids l, and I stay safe until then.

have all your spare magazines loaded (pistol and rifle). have a fire extinguisher. pack a grab-and-go bag with essentials. (meds, cash, ID, ammo+mags, valuables)
if it goes down, you may only have a few minutes' warning. Have a plan to work as a team to fight your way to a car and GTFO. resolve that no one will stop your escape or their life is forfeit.
and when this is all over, enjoy your quiet life in the countryside but never forget. never forgive.
