Over the years, I've used google maps to view the Detroit neighborhood I grew up in. I've watched more and more homes disappear and the land turn into wilderness. Never any rebuilding, only more and more homes gone. For a few years, the maps didn't even show the street I lived on. Does that mean google wouldn't drive the street? I was never afraid living and working in Detroit. But I haven't been back to my old neighborhood in over 30 years. It's just too sad. The last visit had me in tears.
