I've been watching a lot of video streams from KTLA 5, Fox 11, and ABC 7 out of LA. There were definitely guys with 30-rounders and de-finned full-featured rifles. Cops basically ignored most of them (they did give a couple guys a hard time who were defending a liquor store because they were being harrassed and called the cops over and ALLLLLLLLLLL the cops came over and had a brief freakout because of the guns (only shotguns and a dude in a soft vest).
Please expand? This happened in 2019, are you implying that because they're circulating in CA since that time, it's legal to get hands on them? No stores are selling them...
There are a couple of ways to get 30rd with no maglocks in CA - basically the "other" weapon type (no pistol grip or rifle stock, have to buy it like that) plus 30rd mags from freedom week are legal to own if you bought them during it.
