I've noticed this motif often, both in sports and Identity Politics Permissive Pandering. Whether a sports team or a Narrative Object (same thing, really) wins or loses... there seems to be an equal chance of rioting/wilding/looting. Over the years, I've seen riots/looting in celebration as often as in outrage.
In this case, it's all up to the shot-callers and financiers of the DNC. Obviously, rioting was going to be deployed at some point leading up to the October Surprise, as it always is when the DNC faces a strong candidate that appeals to Traditional Americans. In this case, between Biden's gaffe-ing and sniffing and irrefutable allegations of sexual impropriety, the unraveling of the Ukraine/RussiaRussiaRussia hoax/exposure of the DNC's crime-projection lies, the glacially-slow surfacing of the truths of ObamaGate... they had no choice but to launch the Pre-Election Riot Season. As it was, they had to try twice- because the Ahmaud Arbery narrative failed and they had to reboot with another career-criminal arrest-resisting incident.
Normally, these riots are launched as a predictable response to a case of resisting arrest gone wrong, where a Police Officer is forced to lawfully defend himself. Some Soros-funded group like Antifa/BLM goes on social media pushing the narrative in coordination with complicit MSM, then it takes very little provocation on-the-street to get things rolling (especially considering the low-information highly-indoctrinated inner-city communities this appeals to, who are prone to violent crime on a good day and are squirming to go bugshit en masse anyway.)
But... the DNC/MSM will never be able to control them at this point, they can only provoke them. The hilarious and well-deserved storming of CNN HQ in Atlanta is clear evidence of this, the very network who has celebrated and encouraged rioting the most- got FUBARed by the mob of miscreants they so vigorously supported (right up to the point those chickens came home to roost.)

Go watch any nature program showing, say, a group of lions hunting their prey, and then fighting over the corpse. Or go throw bread to some ducks. The behaviors are identical. Larger more aggressive individuals get some loot, then opportunistic feeders come in and try to take it from them. They struggle, and usually a 3rd party swoops in and wins.

Saint Louis has always been a shockingly dangerous city and even feels scary as hell in a LOT of it. Don’t ever get lost there. I did when I was driving cross country as a teen and it scared the shit out of me to the point that I have never forgotten it.
I remember doing a contractor job in St. Louis about 15 yrs ago and my lead tech was a retired USMC Gunnery Sgt...who happened to be black. We crossed the river on our way to look for a hotel for the night, and since this was well prior to GPS maps being reliable as they are today, we were in need of a local map, and the usual place to get those was local gas stations.
I remember him taking one look at the neighborhood and the gas station and very emphatically declining to stop there.

Sadly, they tend to report police shootings as "minor" until informing the families, presumably so sposes and kids aren't blowing up police phones and distracting them while they work.
I've seen it go from minor injuries to all killed once the press release comes out. Hoping that isn't the case here.
