The wealthiest towns in the area are all ultra-liberal and ultra-white and I have never seen a non-white person there. MA was the only state in the US that didn't have a single red county in 2016. So liberalism can work and I believe,as studies have shown, that is is because of the homogeneous society here in northern MA, which means less crime, less welfare etc.and thus more wealth, better schools and so forth. Diversity is bad for a society and comes with decreased social cohesion, less trust, more crime.
