I agree. There’s no proof at this time that this was racially motivated.
From what I can understand, the point the black community is making that they want to be heard and that the injustices, Floyd’s death, etc. continue while nothing is done to combat this is as a systemic problem.
What I’m curious about or have wondered is if that were a Caucasian or Hispanic or Asian or what have you having their neck pressed down on would someone have recorded it?
This case seems more to be about police brutality and excessive force than race to me but the black community is leveraging it to plead their case.
The media loves to vilify the police. The killing of a black man by a white police officer is two for the price of one: police brutality and racism. That doesn't work the other way around - because Hollywood doesn't care about Caucasians and Asians.
I disagree with Floyd’s death being about racism. If it truly is, then surely anyone here can directly tell me how it’s related?
