I wouldn't exactly call it "denial". It's a war of sorts. When the conservatives finally understand that the second amendment and their own sweat and blood is the only way this will get stopped, then it will be war.
This site is overrun with shills claiming "we can't start shooting, that's what the elite wants!", but if we truly are at that juncture, then we have already lost, and we should make every effort to take as many of the bastards with us as we can.
I think this war can be won through intimidation and lack of acquiescence... like the Virginia rallies - thousands and thousands of armed patriots and not a single fatality.
However - I think if you had a counter protest to the riots, things would devolve REALLY fast. I think it's better to let the NG/Regular army deal with the rioters and the patriots should stay home and be prepared to defend their own plot.
I also don't think anyone should be shooting anyone else on sight.
