All i know is he had fentanyl and meth in his system. A friend of mine uses fentanyl and he passed out places because he "forgets to breath" whatever the fuck that means. No surprise he died being hopped up on uppers and downers...stupid mf
Look at what that dumbass George unleashed on our nation. Our nation begins rioting before cnn even finishes the segment
Chinese fentanyl overdose will constrict your airway if you aren't sitting a certain way. Knee or not, that guy's gonna die. See recent video from Scott Adams. I'm not defending the cop. It's a valid legal defense, though.
We see it alot, it's called excited delirium. When someone has been high as fuck on drugs for an extended period and fights with police there is a huge risk of them dying from the stress on their system. That's why you see the "guy dies after being tased" in news articles.
The cops involved in dbag Floyd's death are idiots and that dumbass cop should not have put his knee on the guys neck for that long. Plus, one of his partners should have stepped in to take his place when they saw that. Had that cop not placed his knee on his neck, dbag probably still would have died. But you also have to watch the guy and once he becomes non responsive it's your duty to start cpr or some life saving measures.
They did none of those things and fucked themselves. But imo, floyd would have died regardless of how bad their actions were. Maybe if they were paying attention they could have started cpr too.
I am starting to believe this is just another Trayvon St. Skittles versus Zimmerman ploy. Everyone picks sides like teen girls watching Twilight. I'm team vampire! I'm team werewolf!
But of course the truth is... on a dark and stormy night, two assholes ran into each other and the one with the longer rap sheet died. Neither man deserved our ardent support.
Floyd was a violent criminal who once attacked a pregnant black woman in her home. He had a history of drug use. He had drugs in his system when he died.
The cop has been named in complaints before. And at the least, he failed to recognize the optics of the situation he was in, and did nothing to CYA. Any small act of professional concern for his perp would have made this a non issue.
(He may not have even done anything illegal, but like Zimmerman, wasn't using his head either.)
Both sucked. Neither deserve our ardent support. That's just my take on it.
If I understand correctly the one commissioned by the family found asphyxiation.
There was no traumatic injury found relating to asphyxiation, but they did find damage around the neck. They drew their conclusion based on that and the video evidence and said he was asphyxiated.
The official report was probably more accurate in that he died due to complications because of cardiopulmonary arrest and the law enforcement officer restraints were a contributing factor.
My personal opinion is that he was high on drugs, he was not a healthy individual, this was most likely his first major heart attack given his age (so he was not prescribed any blood thinners, which would have been mitigating factors), and the restraining contributed to his death. When you're having a heart attack you can barely breathe lying in bed let alone with 4 officers on top of you. I'm not sure I'd call that asphyxiation per se, but I don't think it's a completely inaccurate description either.
My conclusion is thus, George Floyd died because of a lifetime of bad choices, both health-wise and socially. The police officer's failings were a failure to provide adequate medical care (within their training, such as putting him on an oxygen tank) and directly contributed to his death by subduing him beyond what was needed.
I suspect even with the highly politicized nature of this case that we will have a wrongful death/manslaughter determination, not murder.
As a heart attack survivor I'll say i don't think that was a heart attack: i tried sleeping mine off for two days... don't remember breathing being an issue. That said I don't think the cop should take the wrap for this
... after resisting arrest... after he was already in the police vehicle
What's the deal on conflicting autopsy reports, though?

One autopsy says no asphyxiation the other one says it was asphyxiation
Pretty big difference in conclusions
Both are considered "independent" iirc
Then someone is lying.
Baden did not examine the body, just watched the video.
Or someone disagrees with what organ failed first. It's semantics
Wasn't one autopsy by the same guy that did Epstein?

And just how the AP Hill will the ex cop EVER get a fair trial after all this??!!
