Your argument isn't wrong, but it isn't correct either, and I'd say the same thing to the other guy.
It is fair to say that a majority of the problems facing blacks today stem not from racism, Jim crow, or even slavery. It stems directly from the welfare system created by Democrats that forced fathers out of homes and rewarded more children. Once this happened, all was lost. A lack of two parent households has led directly to the current issues. No fathers in the home, sometimes for 3 or 4 generations is a recipe for failure.
Are there exceptions? Absofuckinglutely, but they are exceptions, not the rule. So now we have a poor underclass who've not been taught discipline and measured response, AND who have been fed a steady diet of poisonous lies their entire lives. Chief among those lies is that their woes stem from racism, and that anyone of a different race who wrongs them, has done so for a racist reason.
I believe the greatest "white privilege", should one actually exist is that we know that when the 3 assholes we dealt with this week were being assholes, it isn't because of the color of our skin, it's just because people are assholes.
THAT, along with "thug and gang" culture glorification is what is at issue.
