You know, I don't think it's a coincidence of timing. My left leaning main squeeze (solidarity, OP!) just started following Larry Elder. Yesterday he was amazed to learn that BLM is not just a hashtag but an international organization with a mission to disrupt heteronormative family structure. It's a dance of two steps forward, one step back, but I stand in my integrity, "You don't have to agree with me, but don't insult my character by insinuating I don't do my research."
All that said, I believe there is a spiritual dynamic. It is a Great Awakening. In 2016 I was appalled that anyone with faith in Jesus would say God had His hand on Trump. Now I am seeing prayers answered: God, open blind eyes.

Yeah she messaged me earlier today saying "sorry I didn't take you seriously until now" so that was a big milestone.
She has issues with Trump but at least I got her to vote for GJ in 2016 rather than the side of beef, so progress is being made.
