My buddy has a side job of killing ground hogs n such at local golf courses. He uses air rifles that are competition quality. 100 plus yards. 1000fps. Badass air rifles.
Interesting factoid. Louis and Clark carried air rifles.
I had an old Beeman air rifle that I found in a house I bought. Barrel break, old school functional. That rusted old weapon would put a pellet through both sides of a can of beans! Might not be lethal but it provides a satisfying snap and the impact will be felt by anyone unlucky enough to be in the way of the projectile.
No projectile launcher is a weapon until used for nefarious reasons, or protection. These trying times a brick is more of a weapon than a spring air gun
I am 99% sure that it is indeed a pellet gun. I just bought the exact same one last week to kill some birds that have been incessantly shitting on and pecking at the windows on my cars. I recognized it immediately.
The dude on the left looks like he is holding an air rifle.

True...but L & C used .46 caliber ammo. It was called the Girandoni Air Rifle. I wrote a college paper on it.
Dude their air rifles where fucking amazing considering the times. There is an awesome video about them from the US firearm museum.
The Lewis and Clark air rifle is amazing technology and perfect firearm for the situation they were in. No need for gun powder
Wait wait wait...isn’t dynamite more effective?
Effective at what? Distributing health I mean wealth? Lol
It was a Caddyshack reference. 😜

Non lethal deterrent!
Then the picture I saw earlier of a rioter with his eye shot out now makes perfect sense!
