The rioters are following the protests absolutely, they are strategically taking advantage. Anyone with critical thinking skills would realize the rioters actions are antithetical to the meaning of the protests. They're hurting their own communities, and much like your ad hominem, are in the favor of the oppressors. Their destructive actions necessitate a visceral public reaction of "we gotta stop these motherf*ckers" by use of force, which can sometimes be excessive, which is the entire point of the protests.
The conscientious protesters are POLAR OPPOSITE to the rioters because the rioters are undermining their cause!
