I’d want it to be applied to both sexes, and I wouldn’t want it to be longer than 2 years, either. I can’t think of any downsides to it. Even if someone was an artsy type or wanted to be a scientist some day, they’d be better people if they experienced first hand what goes into keeping this country safe.
I’d make our cops better afterwards too because they’d be far better trained. Office Dickhead leaves a lot to be desired in the video. Military folks don’t fuck around with force. It’s used more like a wrench, as needed for leverage. Looter types probably wouldn’t even exist. Everyone would be well equipped to defend themselves. Somebody would get dropped the second their foot hit the ground as they ran out of the store with the Jordan’s.
Yeah, that's pretty much the whole reason I'd changed my tone on it, like you said not really a downside. Everyone would have at least at one point in their life been in shape, had a little order, learned about weapons, and I guess since we are talking modern day being forced to learn to disconnect from the world of social media for a while (wow would that be a difference).
We might even get the benefit of having some of those scientists that would have shunned the military to realize they like it and stick around. Then we have better people in the career military.
