We have been together for 20 years and she has always voted democrat and supported democrat causes including being anti 2A.
This morning, she asked me to help her purchase her first firearm because she wants to be able help protect our family if anyone tries to break into our home.

I had the opposite problem. I'm a Conservative woman and my husband was a Democrat. I didn't let on that I was red pilling him when I'd give my opinion over things that I knew he'd agree on. Then I'd leave Rush or Hannity on so he'd hear it in the background when he came home from work. One day he confessed that he agreed with everything Hannity had to say while listening on the drive home. He has never looked back - though his family wished he'd divorce me for it. But that's another story.
I love her, and we have been together since before my great awakening in 2016. I've gotten her to come with me a little bit but she seems to slowly roll back over. She is the only liberal in the whole family I married into. I got us the fuck out of the stupid liberal city we were living in, so now I just need some of these stupid fucks to try and loot our neighborhood and I think I can use that as pretty good catalyst for an AR15 and some big ass red pills.

We got into a debate last night and I may have expressed that upper level democrats are evil and BLM is a Terrorist organization that doesn't give a fuck about black people and is only made up of anti Americans and useful idiots. After the yelling on both sides we did find some middle ground and we good now. But shes to smart not take the red pill eventually. She grew up in the Texas country with a very overbearing conservative Dad, so a lot of the liberal leaning is push back on that which I understand.

As a Brit myself I think many of us are middle of the road when it comes to politics. We have always tended to vote centrist and avoided extremism. The problem is that nowadays the extreme left likes to pretend, with help from their media cohorts, that they are centrists. This fools a surprising number of otherwise intelligent people.
Couple this with the lack of gun culture in the UK, and the media demonisation of guns and your wife's history is pretty understandable. Good on her for seeing through the BS.
