Excluding attractive members of the opposite sex, conservatives tend to see people for who they are, not what they look like. It takes time to get to know others but I think the conservatives I know are the best at maintaining long term friendships and relationships in general, regardless of phenotype, and are in general among the most helpful when others need it.
