I've read people saying that we need to fire everyone and hire entirely new police forces (across the whole country), like it's that easy to find people who want to be police officers. Are all these woke twittertards suddenly going to step up and do a man's job?
It is insane. I can't imagine anyone becoming a police officer in the near future.
And the police they are attacking (NYC, Portland, etc) are liberal cities that are already implementing "progressive" policing. 53% of NYC cops are non-white.
First, they want no more "stop and frisk" -- it's racist
then Police can't use "excessive" force -- it's racist
also they got zero bail in NYC and stealing ~$200 worth of stuff is not-a-crime in San Fran (i think you just get a summons)
now police can't use ANY force
what is next? No Police?

I think getting high quality cops in those cities will be hard. And when the crime and chaos gets out of control everyone is going to leave. Chicago is already going the way of Detroit. And I imagine almost all big liberal cities will be soon in the next 20-30 years.
Yep. And then in 20 years it will be: "Racial and economic inequality because of flight from cities. You left us in crumbling cities to die!! Give us more money!"

Exactly and not only that you need to attract high quality individuals. If we have a bunch of low IQ worthless people becoming cops we will have corruption and more brutality and abuse.
I defend our cops every chance I can. They are great people and serve the community. If you are a criminal I can get why you don't much care for the cops. But that's not my problem and probably means they are doing their jobs well.
The thing is, they're not looking to replace the police with new police, they want to replace the police with hand picked enforcers... people who will impose their will on society for them.

And I hate to keep making it a race thing cause I don’t give a damn about anyone’s race. Good people are good people. I’m just hearing and seeing too much about “White Supremacy” not just media, even perpetuated re: protests in my city. Posts about “look out peaceful protesters, white supremacists are showing up now”. Personally, I think it’s these pro-protester people making a cover story before it gets violent later in the night. I’ve never met a white supremacist that I know of, maybe they exist but it’s minuscule. Seems like the other side is making anyone who doesn’t bow down and admit this fairy tale of “white privilege by birth” then they are starting to be deemed white supremacists by a small but vocal faction of these psycho leftists (ironically a lot of the vocal ones also being white).
It’s always interesting how we are told not to stereotype. We would be scolded for saying, “All blacks try to pass bad $20 bills like George Floyd.” That would be be untrue and wrong. But yet they run around saying ACAB (all cops are bastards) and all cops are racist, which is also untrue and wrong.
It's because they don't want to elimnate police brutality, they want to eliminate ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT. (see comments that say "all cops are racist")

If we eliminate law enforcement then we essentially have militias form to prevent anarchy. Pretty sure we would win that one.
