Went out to our Black Lives Matter rally tonight to keep an eye out for Antifa. We have an armed miltia walking around downtown to protect small businesses. Less than 30 protestors in our town of 50,000 (Coeur d'Alene). I wasn't packing but just went to stand there and watch them, people thought I was packing anyway. One guy came up and thanked me. Guess I look intimidating enough without needing to bring my gun.

Stood and watched for over an hour. Honestly kind of sad. The men would lead the chants first because they had the loudest voices by far. I don't think a single chanter was over 21 years old. Once the men would lose their voices they'd cycle through - I watched four different guys work through as head chanter before losing their voice. Finally the very young girls had to start leading the chants (18 years old maybe???) Boy did that fucking suck because it just got fucking sad at that point and the group disbanded shortly after.

Honestly I feel bad for these kids. They have every right to come out and protest and I'm glad they exercised that right but fucking a was it sad. They walked away knowing it accomplished nothing, at the most they maybe made a couple new friends.
