"Peaceful Protest"

Religion of peace, peaceful protestor, peace keepers... Beginning to think they don't know what the word means

40
Qualmow 40 points ago +40 / -0

They are saying it as rhetoric shield so that we look 'hateful and aggresive' against thier prop up narratives. We know better and are watching thier shit show.

Right., but if you waych the news or programming like 'The View' or anything like that, they (and the politicians) will tell you that riots were 'set upon' by bad actors and 'We' need to rebuild these communities where most protesters live.

Then who pays the bill? The middle class made of white, black, brown, yellow.

Equality is teaching everyone at a 'D' student grade.

Merit is building in what we make and what works we do.

14
zoginn55 14 points ago +14 / -0

No it really are mostly blacks rioting and looting. White antifas are doing planned arson and destruction (esp of federal buildings).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbxTqyW8yI0

You can see it perfectly in this 30 minute video of someone driving through a rioting and looting area.

1

It's staggering to see the amount of people with zero morals

Maybe city leaders should have thought about that before they abandoned their people to this MOB.

Residents burn down town - "please come and improve our buildings"

Yes.

Thier is a Revealation coming. Not thier stupid 'Conquer and Divide' Revolution.

It is not about that, bigot!! It is about a black guy, who worked witha cop, who also pointed a gun at a pregnant womans belly and a budding porn star. Who was killed by a co-worker, who had worked for this strip joint for 17 years that jas been associated with the CIA for 18 years. Who has had a record of doing shitty over use of power starting 18 years ago.

In the City that BLM started. That then connacted other BLM people in many major cities, while Antifa got the message. Then bricks, water and milk for teargas got distrubeted out of thin air.

Yup, this is organic outrage, I am sure.

Yeah and it is submission. If they did the opposite and stood with, I dunno, reason... this would be less of a thing. What about the companies pledging money to the ACLU and this and that? They should have just hired private security. Problem fucking solved.

47
Slapstick86 47 points ago +47 / -0

This is horrendous. The list is so long. And this is right after the covid quarantines, when the businesses have little money as it is. How will the city ever recover?

52

It won't. It'll be Baltimore 2.0

18

8

Baltimore has better chance of recovering someday compared to Minneapolis. Baltimore is an hour from D.C., two hours from Philly, and four hours from NYC. It has beautiful harbor area (that's been gentrified), rich nearby suburbs, and one of the most prestigious university/hospitals in the country. I'll also throw in lots delicious crab (food in general is quite good in Baltimore).

What does Minneapolis have?

12

Hopefully they have insurance policies that will now write them a large cheque, which they'll use to move to a better part of the country. Leave these animals to clean up their own mess.

12
bigdragonenergy 12 points ago +12 / -0

My gut feeling is that many small businesses do not have the best insurance coverage and some may have been over-leveraged--though I can't blame people for being optimistic about the state of the economy pre-2020.

Some of these communities are probably finished unfortunately.

3
Darknlovely 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yup, insurance takes up a huge expense so they take on minimal coverage to make a profit. I can definitely see how its over for them.

3
supermagafragilistic 3 points ago +3 / -0

Like I was telling my wife, business will be back, but it will be in the form of check cashing places, check cashing places everywhere.

5
BillGateCanSuckIt 5 points ago +5 / -0

Notice, nobody went after the politicians who caused this mess. Distract, divide, conquer

1
Bearsgrrr 1 point ago +1 / -0

Or the media. They couldn't get everyone riled up without the media.

7
footinmouth 7 points ago +7 / -0

You spend years saving, planing researching, finding a need for the community. You put your house up for collateral, to lease a store and start inventory. You cannot afford to hire people to help so you build the store yourself. Weeks of hard labor, but you are finally ready to open. You spend the first years making $4,000 a year working as the only employee 6 days a week for 14 h days. Finally it starts to grow, you are able to hire a local teenager to work the register during slow times so you can focus on improving the store. Slowly but surely, it grows. You now are making a middle class income, still working more than most, but you built it, its yours. You have 3 employees who you have known for a decade. You order from a small manufacturing plant run by a guy just like you, who is delivered by a company run by another guy just like you. You take an interest in your community, helping the local charter school. You are part of organizing a business council that helps police with crimes and the local council with improvement projects.

Then one day, someone screaming "hands up don't shoot" burns your building to the ground demanding justice for police violence and insurance doesn't cover acts of rioting.

It can be rebuilt.

Fuck anyone who says that.

Black people: "We want to be treated fairly and without prejudice by the police and community!"

Also black people: big riot, such stealing, much violent, wow

Obviously at least part of the black community has found success, but the actions of the rioters reflect incredibly poorly on their community.

20
Danny1878 20 points ago +20 / -0

If they want people to not be racist, they are going about it the wrong way.

8
Viewer01 8 points ago +9 / -1

Blacks are like abusive spouses. They don’t beat you because they’re full of anger. They beat you cause they are full of love and are just frustrated you won’t accept it!

5
Darknlovely 5 points ago +5 / -0

No Danny, the objective is a RACE WAR ! So that they can really claim reparations after they are badly beaten. These "dindu nuffins" are just pawns in this game.

1
americathegr888 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's not racism, it's realism. Diversity was a mistake.

6
Keep_on_winning_kag 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yeah, what a great way to make people think differently about the black community. Nope, now many people think the same and even worse. What a great way to bring segregation back.

3
deleted 3 points ago +3 / -0
3
Mint 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's made even worse when you consider that it's not just black people carrying out the rioting and destruction. White, liberal sympathizers are involved too, and as much as they want to "help secure better treatment for black people", their efforts are just making black people look worse.

I just wish the rioters would get bored already and go back to whining on Tumblr and Reddit, so I don't have to fear for my safety whenever I leave the house

4

They chose the perfect name to front their organization because no regular person would ever think that someone in a group called black lives matter is a terrorist. Of course regular people have never read about what they really want including defunding the police entirely..

4
sustainable_saltmine 4 points ago +4 / -0

same thing with Antifa. all these groups go around calling themselves something that sounds good so no one questions WHY they do what they do. less people believe they're terrorist and people get backlash for saying they are so nothing I done to snuff them out earlier

Hey Pedes, In Australia so not accustom to the issues you all face as Americans but why do the lower socioeconomic cities when protesting tear down the very things that give them a future? Burned out schools where they need an education, shopping centres that provide jobs, petrol stations etc. it’s so sad to watch because after all this they start from square one. Be awesome for you guys to weigh in on this. Stay safe and MAGA

1
RiverFenix 1 point ago +1 / -0

it’s so sad to watch because after all this they start from square one.

The people doing the looting and burning are NOT business owners - and most of them will lament not being able to buy a their household items from the Dollar store that got burned down, but they won't put much thought beyond that. In fact they'll blame whites for their lack of a dollar store now - rationale being [they forced us to riot!]..

Also, don't forget that even if they burn down an entire city to the point where there are no businesses left for them to get services from, they'll move on to the next major city and repeat the process. I live in CANADA and woke up to smashed glass around the bus stop near my house. There's no excuse for the destruction, but they don't need excuses to be shitty people they were born that way.

  • 269 business damaged
  • 1000s of lives affected
  • 1000s of children's parents that were probably just getting by and now, no job to go to
  • 100s of families that could have found housing, but nope, an affordable housing project destroyed too

The only thing not on this list -- universities. Two schools (a charter school and a high school) had some property damage. I count 6 universities, including the University of Minnesota, in the same area... Not one report of damage. Hmm..

It's ok to be upset/horrified/pissed at the abuse of police power, but this is the result of letting your emotions get to you and creating the opening for people who are very bad actors, such as the antifa terrorists, to wreck havoc on the very communities that originated the outcry for "justice".
