I have the same problem, dude. Live near fucking Boston where there's riots and I don't even have a fucking gun because my wife said she doesn't want one in the house. Now she's freaking out that we have no gun and it takes months to get a permission. Fucking unreal. There were shots fired outside this night and she panicked. I think I will buy a baseball bat and combat knives and build a flame thrower and spear like the Romans used or something.

Many states have live traffic camera feeds as well that you can find if you do a web search. If you can find one in a location that would be an avenue of approach at a distance from your location to allow early warning that could help as well

You can stream the police scanner for your jurisdiction online. Just do a simple search using “town + police scanner.” Obviously someone would have to spot them and call it in to policevso it’s not foolproof
