What's really sad is, if you read his tweets, he really didn't have a clue what he was saying and how it would come across to the Twitter nazis.
He was trying to say something like "Every life is important", and from half paying attention to the news the phrase "All Lives Matter" popped into his head, and he never saw the cancellation freight train headed his way.

By apologizing he essentially admitted that he said something wrong or in this case "racist," even if it isn't true, so he can't be too surprised by or upset about being fired.
Bending the knee to the Left simply makes it easier for them to remove your head. Never do it.
