As of now we are reporting at just shy of 93% in. These numbers are big league for Republicans in this swing state.
Trump-786,326
All Dems-783,093
If you combine all the Republican votes we are at 832,511 or just shy of 50k votes ahead of Democrats.
Moving further down the ticket where it came down to Democrat vs Republican (attorney general of PA), Republicans are up nearly 60k votes.
Even further down the ticket Republicans (State Treasurer) are beating Democrats by nearly 80k votes.
These numbers don't even include Independents. These numbers also do not take into account that many Bernie Bros either won't vote, or they'll vote for Trump. If we keep these numbers up, we can't lose PA. We must get out and vote.
These numbers are big time satisfying. I won't lie, I was very worried about PA politics, but this puts my mind at ease, even if a little.
edit: Sticky. Thanks mods, this information needs to be seen.
2016 Democrats:
Hillary Clinton 935,107 55.61%
Democrats. 1,681,427
2016 Republicans:
Donald Trump 902,593 56.61%
Republicans: 1,594,475
TLDR: Turnout is down >50%. Dems were ahead in 2016 by 90K votes. GOP ahead by 50K votes in 2020.
I’m not sure what you’re looking at because he won Pennsylvania in 2016. I remember because it was late at night when they called the race and I cried like a baby.
The primaries.
Trump won the general election with 2,970,733 votes versus 2,926,441 votes (48.2% vs 47.5%)
General election was about 100% turnout vs primaries.
yeah so trump won the general in PA by just over 20k votes, out of almost 6 MILLION, and these clowns here want to run victory laps because trump got 3k more votes than the dems (who were split between 3 candidates and almost all of those voters will consolidate behind Biden in the general), even though the primaries had over a million less voters on each side vs the general last time.
they're actually saying don't get complacent, as if this outcome somehow indicates a mega titanic landslide. to me it's terrifying but hey call me crazy.
