100% true! But that's what makes this even better to help red pill the normies! I am surprised they even ran this whole story! Spread it everywhere!

Also highjacking this comment for more info:

Also remember:

https://www.cdc.gov/malaria/resources/pdf/fsp/drugs/Hydroxychloroquine.pdf

For over 50 years, CDC said hydroxychloroquine is safe to take for any length of time, safe for children, safe for pregnant women when taken to prevent malaria. Then suddenly "experts" started claiming it can be fatal and dangerous and what not.

For anyone who tries to argue you about the side effects, show them this and read the "Adverse Events" on page 12 PDF:

https://academic.oup.com/aje/advance-article-pdf/doi/10.1093/aje/kwaa093/33312601/kwaa093.pdf

This concerns the entirety of HCQ use over more than 50 years of data, likely millions of uses and of longer-term use than the 5 days recommended for Covid-19 treatment.

Nevertheless, even if the combined HCQ+AZ produced a 10-fold higher incidence of fatal Torsades de Pointes and long QT-interval syndrome than either agent alone, and even if both events were 10-fold underreported in FAERS, thus hypothetically giving 1200 fatal events, that would still be very small compared to the millions of uses of these medications that the FAERS database represents.

Thank you for posting this. I had been following this story since The Lancet published their study. I also had talks with several colleagues discussing the legitimacy of the findings. (Yes, i thought it was shit and I was concerned about the timing. And yes, it caused a long week for me having to explain that hydroxychloroquine won't give you a heart attack.) People do need to understand there are also politics involved in medicine. It sucks, but it is reality. Luckily, I was trained to understand this, as well as, many of colleagues. Its our job as clinicians to read the data and apply it to our patient population evaluated risks and benefits. We do need more research in regards to COVID, but i felt this release to be political. Over the past week, I have seen several medical websites i use for research question the findings. It has been interesting. If anyone has any questions about hydroxychloroquine please feel free to ask. I dont have much experience in regards to treating COVID, but I use this medication daily in treating rheumatologic diseases.

7
undecidedmask 7 points ago +7 / -0

Once you saw the price difference between Hydroxycloriquin and the R drug (can't remember the name), you could see the plot.

7
leing15 7 points ago +7 / -0

Surely the fact that Remdesivir is very expensive and HCQ isn't is a big factor in the political move to discredit HCQ, but a huge part of it was to extend the lockdown (which a proven cure would make obsolete), let the deaths accumulate and the economy tank completely so Trump could unreasonably be blamed for for it all, and directly demoralize Trump for simply mentioning that HCQ was a promising drug in the treatment of CV-19, which he did AFTER some studies and doctors' experiences in using it to treat hundreds of patients showed that HCQ combined with Zinc and Azithromycin had been effective in saving lives of patients already seriously ill and also in preventing CV-19 patients from getting seriously sick from it.

Unfortunately, leftists and their fake news media claimed that Trump's statement on HCQ was completely 'unsubstantiated' (as if he had pulled his positive view of HCQ absolutely out of nowhere and HCQ hadn't already been considered a safe drug, even for preventive purposes, for over 50 yrs).

From the day Trump first made a positive statement about HCQ, the campaign started to discredit the drug, and even classify it as a killing drug. This is not a coincidence.

93
CuomoisaMassMurderer 93 points ago +94 / -1

Even if the US did no better than South Dakota, our total deaths would be below 9,000. Not 100,000+.

Following Dr Zelenko's protocol of Trump pills does even better. One (female) Governor, of SD was able to stand up to this bureaucracy and insure that once you test positive, you get "whatever you need" and are included in a Statewide study.

At least 40 Governors have repeated Cuomo's mistake.

45
trumplandslide 45 points ago +45 / -0

Yep, except in Cuomo's case I really doubt that it was a "mistake"

23
CuomoisaMassMurderer 23 points ago +24 / -1

Hard to tell how many of the other Governors repeating Cuomo's (intentional evil) mistake are knowingly committing evil, or simply following precedent in lockstep with orangemanbad. Fortunately different criminal charges exist that make intent unnecessary to prove. And with all the criminal charges they're guilty of, they can all die as paupers in prison, sending the necessary message to all future would-be tyrants. We now know this message won't still be heard 245 years from now, but it will last longer than 20.

21
saveMySpeech [S] 21 points ago +21 / -0

Redleg37 7 points ago +7 / -0

I work for a VA hospital in western South Dakota. We have had only 1 veteran with Covid in our hospital, plus 2 more in home health, and three more admitted to a public hospital. Of the six total patients only one died, of a coronary issue.

3
CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thank you for this! Was the coronary issue death in any way legitimately tied to HCQ use? I ask because the left has been trying to say it's too dangerous to use, when millions have taken it for 50 years and we know how to screen for that problem. Which hasn't stopped a couple prominent studies from being bad science and worse medicine, one of which was in our VA.

The problem is, any investigation is already too late. As a paper-only shell company, there are a tons of exit strategies for all involved.

  • NEJM and WHO can blame each other, when someone goes digging further, they can point to Surgisphere and cry victim they were fooled. Easy for NEJM to change their article/archive policy to hide the info, WHO will just edit their website.

  • Surgisphere can just decline to comment, close down their site...etc. Stall for time each day there is no criminal investigation. Does anyone expect to find a server with all emails that wasn't wiped?

  • MSM can just say their "reporters are not scientist" and even cry victim that they were fooled.

This might be a new chapter in misinformation operations. Think about this: to run a presidential campaign or primary takes tens of millions, to run TV/Web advert campaign takes millions. What this case has done, is that for probably few hundred thousand dollars and six faux employees, they bypassed all of that and went straight to policy outcomes. A stealth bomber nowadays means spending billions to drop bombs on some worthless cave, while this is for a few hundred thousand swaying trillion dollar fortunes. For relatively low sum and shaking the right hands, they bought international pandemic policy that affected billions of people. To misinform and misleading people, this is quite possibly the most successful asymmetrical campaign to date.

This tiny company appears to have just made up the data used in the Lancet and NEJM studies cautioning against HCQ. It has changed treatment policy around the globe.

The 6-employee company claimed to have data sharing agreements with 1200 hospitals around the world. But these hospitals are saying they have no such agreement and have never heard of the company.

The company’s marketing manager is a stripper and their data analyst is a sci-fi/fantasy illustrator.

If HCQ turns out to be even mildly beneficial, tens of thousands around the world May have been killed by this American company.

Does this company or any member have financial Ties to Gilead or other competing drug makers? How about to democrat linked groups?

An immediate and high level criminal investigation and audit of this company and all officers is necessary. Our most esteemed medical journals may have misled the world and caused extensive preventable death around the globe.

DemigoD 8 points ago +9 / -1

Hey I'm not trying to be a hater, but this is my 5 cent critique, take it or leave it because I'm just some anonymous guy on the internet. Feel free to ignore me if you disagree.

When you're looking to provide "more info", and then dump 11 links, despite the fact that all 11 are good links, you end up providing less information than if you had just posted 1 or 2. Once I see that many links, instead of clicking all of them, I click none. In my opinion, 1 or 2 highly focused links are a more effective way of communicating information in general, as opposed to 11 links that are probably all good.

Maybe it's just a bi-product of the modern era being ADHD by nature, but I can't be bothered to click all of those.

I see you re-posted the same comment from higher up in the thread where it got more visibility. I do believe you have the best intentions: to get the most information to the highest number of people. This is just my personal take- by providing too many links, you may actually be working in a counter-productive way, lessening the chance that each individual link is clicked.

Again, I'm just some random bloke on the internet, and I'm just saying what generally works for me /what makes me more or less likely to click. If this is working for you, feel free to tell me to fuck off, I won't be offended

4
saveMySpeech [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

If this is working for you, feel free to tell me to fuck off, I won't be offended

Nah, you might be right. This works for me as I like building a knowledge base with all the info I learn and I add them in. The reason for so many links in my thought was that some people prefer editorialized links whereas others prefer more official sources. So I don't know which one serves the best for whom.

However going forward, I will keep your advice in mind and try to provide 2 links only maybe - one which is official scientific community, other which is editorialized media one. Sorry about that.

So the MSM propaganda outlets who were warning us about the 'severe side effects' were full of shit. Surprise.

So sick of these haters and disinformation liars.

TBH the mainstream narrative itself for coronavirus is playing a lot like a sci-fi movie. HCQ had a part in destroying their narrative too.

Bill, get the Antidote. We're almost there!

It is I, Lord Donald. That antidote is going nowhere. You will never stop me muwahahaha.

It doesn't really matter at the end of the day. As many of the countries are at their heart just blindly following the advice from "leftist scientists". They plan to keep countries in lockdowns until they collapse.

18
Keiichi81 18 points ago +18 / -0

So in other words the World Health Organization accepted the recommendations of a fraudulent company no one had ever really heard of which claimed to have data no one ever bothered to verify, and set official WHO treatment guidelines upon which numerous countries rely - including terminating their hydroxychloroquine study - based on totally fabricated results concocted by a a bunch of scammers.

Sounds like we did the right thing by no longer funding those chucklefucks.

15

What the fucking hell?
So it's basically a medical company who's entire purpose was to make up research to discredit hydroxychloroquine and Trump?

People died because of this. Who was funding these guys? (Let's be honest it's either Dems or China)

4
STEVE_HUFFMANS_BULL 4 points ago +5 / -1

You know the “vaccines cause autism” meme? The actual story there is:

> late 1990s

> absolute cunt Andrew Wakefield works for a company that’s researching an MMR vaccine

> he says, fuck it, why not whack some competition, writes a paper that says the other MMR guys’ vaccine is linked to higher autism rates

> The Lancet are the only morons willing to accept some kind of payoff for publishing his hot shit

On the plus side, Wakefield lost his medical license after all that got made public. On the down side, you have Karens who think that paper and random .wordpress.blogspot.com blogs are more authoritative than the entire rest of science

And the entire fucking conspiracy comes to light.

We KNEW this drug is safe. I have given it to HUNDREDS of patients over the years. Literally NONE of them had anything more severe than mild nausea. Because we know EXACTLY to the milligram what is a toxic dose.

But hey WHO and the FUCKING WORLD just needs ONE study because ORANGE MAN BAD!

saveMySpeech [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

So the hyped studies were a total complete dumpster fire of bogus data sources from a plainly obvious source. Yet made it through peer review and were spread worldwide. Nice.

I hope that some people will make the connection that this is the same sort of garbage "science" being used to gin up global warming hysteria. Unfortunately I don't think we are that lucky.

Headlines proclaiming deadly effects will make it hard to recruit patients to key studies, [White] says. “The whole world thinks now that these drugs are poisonous.”

Looks like the leftists were successful, then. Now it's an uphill battle to explain that 50 years of safe usage overrules 3 shady papers that the company won't even give up the source data for. Fun...

8
Kaboola 8 points ago +8 / -0

I'm so glad to read this. I ran into the lancet paper and had suspicions with it's lopsided control vs treatment numbers. I'm surrounded by leftists colleagues but feel reaffirmed about continuing HCQ in hospitals.

Funny thing is that I barely have any covid patients in my hospital now. Even suspected ones. Even with testing every admit.

Worst of all: Many scientists must habe realized something was off, based on papers published. They decided to not speak up in time. All that grant money won't be risked to save some human life.

Disgusting.

6
2016TrumpMAGA 6 points ago +6 / -0

So these asshats relied on data from a single source, after screaming from the rooftops that we needed more studies to determine if HCQ was a viable treatment?

The studies were co-authored by the firm’s chief executive, Sapan Desai.

Desai has been named in three medical malpractice suits

In 2008, Desai launched a crowdfunding campaign on the website Indiegogo promoting a wearable “next generation human augmentation device that can help you achieve what you never thought was possible”. The device never came to fruition.

Peter Ellis, the chief data scientist of Nous Group, an international management consultancy that does data integration projects for government departments, expressed concern that Surgisphere database was “almost certainly a scam”.

I'm shocked, shocked I tell you, to find an Indian committing fraud.

A search of publicly available material suggests several of Surgisphere’s employees have little or no data or scientific background. An employee listed as a science editor appears to be a science fiction author and fantasy artist. Another employee listed as a marketing executive is an adult model and events hostess.

While Surgisphere claims to run one of the largest and fastest hospital databases in the world, it has almost no online presence. Its Twitter handle has fewer than 170 followers, with no posts between October 2017 and March 2020.

What do you want to bet this firm was chosen by Indians at the WHO?

Fucking third worlders.

hydroxychloroquine study and its lead author, Mandeep Mehra

Another Indian? Shocking!

Until Monday, the “get in touch” link on Surgisphere’s homepage redirected to a WordPress template for a cryptocurrency website, raising questions about how hospitals could easily contact the company to join its database.

What kind of a moron do you have to be to do business with a company without even scouring its website? People at the WHO had to know this guy was full of shit, but chose to use him anyway.

r_u_srs_srsly 6 points ago +6 / -0

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME

Chicago-based Surgisphere has not publicly released the data underlying the studies, but today Desai told Science through a spokesperson that he was “arranging a nondisclosure agreement that will provide the authors of the NEJM paper with the data access requested by NEJM.”

(from the sciencemag copy: https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2020/06/mysterious-company-s-coronavirus-papers-top-medical-journals-may-be-unraveling)

The authors of the paper didn't even get to see the raw data from this fake company

They're just now preparing an NDA for the authors to check

What the actual fuck is the definition of an author then?

This is who manufactured the fake data used as cover to besmirch and ban an effective cure for COVID-19.  The mushroom public is still gaslighted against it even as it is adopted successfully and without question as the front-line medication nearly everywhere else in the world.

The mainstream media has incessantly propagandized against an effective cure to a pandemic while insisting we stay away from each other, abandon our livelihoods, close our schools, and hide our faces like lepers.

This is about controlling you and setting us up for the latent violence being revealed right now.

The sooner everyone realizes that the CCP and the DNC are two faces of the same entity, the better.

We are at war.
