I was talking with a family member who was trying to claim that Trump is racist, and she said that the main reason she believes he is a racist is for his involvement in the Central Park 5 case, where he spent $85,000 on full page adds calling for the death penalty to come back.
Does anyone know where I can find actual, unbiased information about this incident? Everywhere I look online appears to be from an anti-Trump website or author.
I'm interested in hearing more about it preferably from someone that supports Trump, and has done their research.

If you read the actual ad Trump wrote for the paper (just Google it and look under images) you will see he never specifically mentions a single person. He is basically just bitching about how crime infested new York had become and how you couldn't even go for a stroll in the park anymore without fearing for your safety. He was calling for new York to get much tougher on violent criminals including using the death penalty. Again, he never specifically mentioned any person. Everyone who is old enough remembers that new York in the late 80s and early 90s was an absolute shithole. It wasn't until Rudy guillianni came along that new York finally cleaned itself up and restored law and order
