About 25. The battalion had used a platoon of marines to run VCP's while we cleared the village. They were the last to leave. We managed to get broken comms with one marine vehicle, with a SSG TC. He turned around his humvee and came back for my 6 man team. Drove right into the lions den, knowing we were being chased, with his little 3 man vehicle, and scooped us up and got us out of there. We thanked him, of course, but no thanks was necessary, we would have done the same for him.

No one understands these generals are so far removed from their soldiers and much more so from us civilians that they think of themselves as celebs. They are usually libs that know how to play politics
