I think the frustration and rage he and many others, including myself (you can see it in my comment history), we have expressed is because being black, just like being gay, has stopped being a biological fact, and instead is a political movement. It's awful, and I think people are just so sick of it. Especially how it also comes along with incessant lecturing of white people for things they've literally never done.
I think the average person doesn't have any ill will toward black people. But they are getting very upset, and tired of the abrasive rhetorical arson coming from them. They are also getting tired of the endless wave of black on white violence which is vastly more prevalent than the other way around. The mob violence we've seen during the riots has been directed almost exclusively at white people (with a few dead black cops thrown in for good measure).
That said, question for you. You mentioned in some of your other comments that black people secretly sneer at weak, self hating white liberals. I think that is a fair, and predictable response because nobody respects weakness. Humans are animals, so once we smell blood in the water, we attack further. That's just how it is. Self loathing is a sign of weakness, and reveals that a person is ripe for manipulation and exploitation. So my question is, in your experience with black family members, do they appear to take stronger, assertive, self confident white people more seriously, and respect them more than the self loathers? They upgraded the charges of the one officer to 2nd Degree Murder; this will never stick but is done on purpose specifically for the "not guilty".
2nd degree means that although it wasn't premeditated and planed that in the moment he MEANT to kill him. This is going to be very difficult to prove you meant to kill someone by following the departments SOP and will result in this particular charge being read out as "not guilty"; this will trigger another round of riots.
I remember an incident a loooooong time ago, before I got online (so 1996 or earlier). Seems an African country (don 't recall the name but I believe it was a former French colony or protectorate) got caught committing the heinous offense of letting white Americans, Britons, etc, waltz in, while taking black Americans ,Britons, etc into an interrogation room to be grilled as to why they wanted into the country. When an official of that country was questioned on air by reporters over the "scandal", he refused to be apologetic and explained that white tourists just wanted to go on photo safaris and pump western currency into the economy, while black western tourists had caused difficulties : Mocking African customs, encouraging drug use, trying to get with local women which antagonized the local men...Anyway, for whatever reason the whole thing dropped out of the news soon thereafter, either because the government refused to self flagellate, or because something more important (Persian Gulf war-???) occurred.

I totally agree. This event isn't about George Floyd at all and it really isn't about race. I do feel like some people here need to get up to speed on what is going on and stop taking the bait. Why George Floyd? Why protests? Why riots? Why now? This is a manufactured crisis, that exploits existing, long-term racial divisions in our society, that is part of a long-term, coordinated and sustained effort to subvert the people and institutions of the United States, abolish the Constitution, and vassalize it under a managerial world state.
Unfortunately, "counter protests" are not nearly enough. You see how the media plays it -- "white supremacists" "breaking laws" putting "lives at risk", "brave doctors" standing in their way. Free people are being out-numbered for sure, but also greatly out-organized. We need to be smart -- and patient.

It ain't easy. I'm also part of a minority group that has some unsavory stereotypes. It kills me say it, but some of them are accurate! The best I can do is do my very best- live as the outlier and hope that my example provides a counter-point that stands out in people's minds.

Black and hispanic officers are more likely to shoot black suspects than are white officers.
A police officer is 18.5 times more likely to be killed by a black person than the reverse.
Protestors smash windows and scream about "justice denied" because it took a whopping 3 days for the officer involved in Floyd's death to be charged, while it took EIGHT MONTHS for the officer involved in Justine Damond's killing to be charged, and no one rioted in the streets.
The death of a white man (Tony Timpa) in police custody under identical circumstances to Floyd's received no media attention and no social media outrage, despite none of the officers involved ever even being fired let alone charged with murder, and again no one rioted.
So don't shout "Black Lives Matter" at me, because it's clear whose lives matter and whose lives don't.

My interest in George Floyd is only that the cops who killed him face justice. That's in progress. I'd like to see reforms to prevent that kind of thing from happening again, which just means better training and better accountability for problem officers like the one who directly killed Floyd. Hopefully those measures are also in progress.

The thing is you can't speak rationally to someone who is emotionally charged. To them it doesn't matter what the facts are. Their perception is their reality. We see psychological conditioning on a mass scale. The Left has mastered the art of tapping into people's emotions which is why so many people can be manipulated into doing whatever leaders want. Responding with facts which we think of as red pills are only vomited back because they think it as poison. The only way to get the medicine to go down is to wrap it in the same sugar they are currently drinking. That sugar is the emotional stories from the other victims. The message needs to be short, simple, and wrapped in a highly emotionally charged story for it to be received. Sharing stories about people like David Dorn who are being impacted from these riots are effective. However, be mindful that you are not just doing what so many of the left do and just promote one narrative. Start from their position and bridge them to yours. We have to win the hearts and minds of people to generate change.
Memes work on another level because they promote internal shame. The messages are short, direct, and make those who believe otherwise feel internal conflict and a sense of shame or embarrassment because they believe otherwise to the narrative of the meme. Memes however are also at risk of being vomited out for the same reasons as mentioned above and can be resisted by the reader simply perceiving them as trolling.
