First post on here but spent a lot of time on reddit looking at the destruction of rationality in real time. TD was the only place I could go to for any positivity. Some comments and posts get edgy, but thats what we all want...a little bit of everything. Because thats real fucking life.

I admit that when Trump first got elected, I thought we were fucked. And then I watched the Dem/lib meltdown on national TV and realized these people, who are supposed to be leader, are a bunch of crying pussies. I realized soon that I was not going to be a part of that losing mentality. And here we are lol

My own dad, who taught me that "life isn't fair" and "you make your luck" suddenly became an NPC yelling orange man bad every morning. He blamed Trump for his own bad mood, during cancer treatment. Ridiculous. He got cancer (hes recovering) and yet, he woke up in pain every morning screaming fuck Trump. What a realization for me. Here I was, trying to make the most out of my time with my dying father, and all he wanted to do was recreationally get outraged at Trump. I had never seen him like that before. He was a zen guy. He was a white guy whose favorite book was Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.

Now I just watch him, and my brother virtue signal on facebook and trash white people and tacitly endorse ANTIFA activity. I love my dad and bro, but jesus the left/MSM has made things hard to navigate.

Thanks man.

I've come to terms with whats going on. Thankfully I'm over 30, out of the house, have a good job and GF. I also live in Tokyo (after leaving Chicago around 17 years old). I think having outside perspective really helped me understand whats going on politically in the US. Even my GF said she'd probably have TDS if she lived in the US or were around people who were anti Trump.

I dont post on reddit at all, but if I do I'll go with something vague like, "No, I agree with Obama, because he agrees with my unbiased world view. " Its hard to get answers from people after you write that, its pretty hilarious. Its not worth it to try and go back and forth on something like reddit.
