I say this would be playing political games with american lives. That if the president has knowledge of such a situation it is absolutely his responsibility to stop it.

Edit: for the record. I do not believe Trump is doing this.

The problem is that if this doesn't stop, people will take matters into their own hands. If the violence gets to a point where Americans put down the riots themselves, they will eventually deal with the government that they feel abandoned them and are possibly in on it.

It's dangerous.

How much more death and destruction do you need to show that this is an insurgency with the backing of the people in charge of these areas?

I'm assuming that all the people on TV are calling these leaders "incompetent" to avoid being sued for defamation or slander. How much more inaction and outright support by these people do you need to just flat out say that they're wanting this to happen and are facilitating it?

If Americans take matters into their own hands, they most likely will not care who is in office... Even if it's Trump. They will clean house from top to bottom and start over.

I don't want that to happen since it will be a bloodbath of biblical proportion, but what else do people do if the whole system has failed?

Rioting in itself is an illegal act. The start of the Civil War is fighting between two factions that cannot be stopped.
