I took it as more of an analogy or something often said to oppose Trump, that maybe Trump isn’t perfect, but nobody is. With the amount of scrutiny placed on Trump I’d be hard pressed to think anyone could come out clean as a whistle like he has.
Also from the rest of his speech it wouldn’t make much sense to go from listing lowest unemployment and such to calling him a bigot.
Well in fairness he was sort of saying "He may be all the things people say he is, but it doesn't matter"
"Bigot" is a term of honor when a Leftist uses it on someone. He was just echoing that honor.
