There's lots of confirmed reasons he needs to go without this one being true.

TONS of votes.

AZTrumpette1776 5 points ago +6 / -1

Who would they vote for?? I am against this but there is NOTHING except tearing down the wall and limiting the 2nd amendment that would get me to vote for anyone other the President Trump. And having said that President Trump could kick a baby on TV and I would still not vote for Joe Biden who has a tendency to grope babies.

Let's see #1 what is in it before we jump off the Trump train, or even threaten to, then let's see if it passes. There is only 1 that I put above President Trump and that is Jesus our Lord and Savior. Nothing would get me to stop following Jesus and there are very few things that would get me to stop supporting President Trump.

DACA amnesty before the election? Trump never ran on that base, MAGA was never about giving a blanket immunity and citizenship to Non-Americans. You want to talk about a special visa for young people who has an honest living here, savings, skills? I can meet you there. But, leave their families out, leave that pandering to illegals that sicks everyone of us who have to deal with unemployment, Sanctuary Cities, taxpayer money going to illegals' welfare.

Trump voters didn’t vote for the First Step Act, and they definitely didn’t vote for DACA amnesty, STOP PANDERING DONALD

prodigal 6 points ago +9 / -3

The time for this conversation is after the wall is complete and the country has had a chance to clean house, assess the census and to inform the public about the true state of the union. Not before. The country already feels profoundly betrayed.

10
RangeRover 10 points ago +10 / -0

There is never a time for this conversation

3
prodigal 3 points ago +3 / -0

I don't want amnesty. I don't get this timing at all.

3
WishdoctorsSong 3 points ago +3 / -0

Nope, the second the wall is secured there's no conversation, only mass repatriation.

2
prodigal 2 points ago +2 / -0

ok fine. BUT lets get the damned wall done. FIRST

5
BabyTrump 5 points ago +5 / -0

Trump offered the Dems DACA for the wall like 3 years ago and they said no

Now i'd want two fucking walls for it.

Joocystarbursts0316 3 points ago +3 / -0

I hate to say it but Ivanka has some cucked views on things and by default her husband listens. Trump has a soft spot for his daughter. Kushner has been nothing but a fuck up/liability.

Someone slap Kushner and get him away from the grownups doing business.

yeah these are vehemently racist anti-american ppl

giving them what they want will be viewed as weakness, not an olive branch

I believe that Emerald Robinson is telling the truth when she says "sources confirm," but I don't believe the sources are correct. This must be some kind of "run it up the flagpole and see what happens" kind of thing. If that is the case, the message from your supporters is DON'T DO IT, MR. PRESIDENT!!

If they give daca amnesty I will consider not voting him. The amount of concessions needed probably wouldn't even be in the conversation, so I don't see being swayed by this. A full and complete wall, end birthright citizenship, would just be a starting pillar.

He needs a negotiation pawn to get the riots to stop. Calm down. If he’s doing this it’s to get something more out of them. This is an insane situation in America right now. Eyes on the election .

There is a simple solution to this. Give DACA recipients citizenship if they are willing to forfeit there voting rights permanently and we secure the border. Anything less the democrats are bigots

Hereforagoodtime -1 points ago +1 / -2

Probably an unpopular opinion... I see this as an issue that isn't going away if something isn't done. It is not an ideal plan, especially if the admin gets nothing in return. DACA recipients will never be deported, they will forever be in purgatory and live here under shit circumstances. There will be a President that has to leverage this and make a way forward. Like it or not, something does have to be done.

0
ThomasJefferson1776 0 points ago +1 / -1

Shit circumstances? They get treated almost like kings, way better than our homeless vets. Fuck the DACA cunts.

1
Hereforagoodtime 1 point ago +1 / -0

Calm down. I'm a retired veteran and understand the hatred surrounding DACA benefits. You can't conflate the two and get anything done.

Again, this admin did not create the problem. You can't deport that many people without serious pushback from both sides. Expel the criminals that are under DACA and give a straight forward but difficult set of requirements to earn citizenship. Make a sensible policy and move forward.

For the shit circumstances... They are stuck sucking on the system. Why would you not want to give the a pathway to get off the system. Being stuck on the system is a shit circumstance. We're not complete assholes and policy making has to take into account these are human beings. "Fuck DACA cunts" really isn't a policy that helps. But, you do you.

still-at-work -2 points ago +1 / -3

I am ok with DACA amnesty if return for some other crucial legislation we need.

Because I am absolutely sure such a compromise would never pass the house as the house dems doesn't want to help DACA people, they want to complain about them.

3
Ilanna 3 points ago +3 / -0

We've tried things like that. They insist conservatives compromise first, then either change their minds before or during their part of the compromise. By that time we're already stuck with no options.

1
still-at-work 1 point ago +1 / -0

correct, but I am still willing to do that compromise for comprehensive immigration reform. Because if we can fix all the issues of immigration then a few million more democrats is worth it. Plus I don't think they will all vote democrat anyway and even if they did, 100% turnout of DACA people and all vote blue, it still worth fixing immigration for the future.

Its that important.

If you are worried that it will tip the scales in favor of democrats so they would just undo any reform in the future, I disageee. The electoral college minimizes the impact of new voters and again I don't think they will all vote blue, especially if a red president signs the law that allows them in.

I know the dems always ask for us to compromise and they do nothing, which is why I want something for this compromise and not just run it byitself.

I want them to compromise as well.

And also why I know it will not go anywhere because they don't compromise.

2
WeWillRejoice 2 points ago +2 / -0

Don't be so sure. The pressure on Dims in the house to accept a deal would be overwhelming.

No Trump supporter would be OK with this. You don't sound like a supporter.

1
still-at-work 1 point ago +1 / -0

You think Nancy wants to help DACA people? Don't buy that propaganda, she doesn't give a damn about them. If they are not illegal aliens then she can't use them anymore and they have no offer no aid to her power. Remember they don't have principles they just want power. Helping DACA people doesn't give them power as if they are legal they can't know for sure who they will vote for. Better to keep them as illegals and try to slip them votes anyway but mostly use them as a hammer on republicans.

Now I think DACA people should be given a pathway to legalization but not blanket amnesty. Something where they can get green cards and then if they have a clean record and pay their taxes and whatnot offer them chance at citizenship in a year or so. But you see if that was done you would end up with self reliant people becoming citizens and they are not likely to vote for democrats.

Regardless, this is just politics. Dems will never allow DACA legalization, they will come up with some stupid excuse to kill any bill with that included. So the proposal is DOA.

I want to sell DACA path to legality for comprehensive immigration reform, something Trump proposed before. I know this because I am a Trump supporter.

i don't want blanket amnesty, thats just dumb. But yes, I would sell DACA path to citizenship for comprehensive immigration reform. That means ones that have clean records and good standing with the government (pay taxes etc) over a trial period they can apply for citizenship.

Giving that up to get true immigration reform (full wall funding, policy change to stop encouraging illegal immigrants, etc) is worth it to me.

This is a deal Trump has proposed before.

I also know the Dems will never take that deal so this argument is moot.
