it's now obvious that investing in american cities (especially blue ones), is a losing financial proposition AND dangerous one. blue mayors and governors refuse to protect their populations with police stand downs and no guard call up

Nope. They will just steal our tax money to rebuild them.
regardless, if i were a businessman, i wouldn't touch the inner blue state cities with a 10' pole. this WILL reverberate nation wide.
I hope you're right, but I'll bet every one of these cities starts some kind of new "community reinvestment fund" within the next three months. Our tax money and foreign money will pour in. Developers with the best city connections, in other words the most shady and corrupt developers, will get sweetheart deals on loans and outright grants. They will start projects that never get finished. The money will find it's way straight back into the community agitators pockets. The simple fucks who are looting and burning shit will be right back on the street in a few years doing the same thing because nothing will have changed for them.
Sorry. I'm feeling a bit down about America at the moment. I think I'm gonna sign off for the rest of the day. I need to recharge my positive attitude because Barr and Wray just sucked the last ounce out of me.
You are somewhat describing what Trump implemented already with the Opportunity zones. Well.....They just burned that bridge. We are going to see some crazy shit because these communities will no longer have stores or business anywhere near them. They already had very few. They will now have zero. Now...this will cause them to move or travel to other parts of town that still have business and stores. Will communities fight back once these people start to swarm in? I guess we will see.
Trump is exactly the kind of person they want prevent from ever happening again
too much realistic thinking is bad for your mental health. Sometimes it's better to force yourself to believe the beautiful lie
