One of the biggest mistakes of Trump was that he didn't bring a million or two of white South Africans to the US. They would have been a solid Republican voter base, like Cubans.
Unfortunately right wing Cubans like myself are a dying breed ... it makes me sick. Though i will admit it is our own (cubans) fucking fault for letting it happen.
Some of us made it, and we convert our liberal families too. I drove my American wife to the polls to vote Trump in 2016, and I am not even a citizen yet.
It’s only become third world in the last 30 years or so. Considering some of the farming families have been there for 100 years or more, I don’t blame them for not abandoning their homes sooner.
But the writing is on the wall at this point. They either leave now or get killed for staying.
