Yeah Seattle sucks. Interesting that this statue came to Seattle in 1995, the year after Bezos founded Cadabra. It has been waiting to sell (from an unknown source) since then so yeah let's just park in public until it does because it's so artistic./s This is in the Freemont neighborhood where the naked biker parade happens every year. Also home the The Troll.

It wasn't that he was so great. It was sort of a perfect storm with the state of technology that started with selling books. He diversified, eliminated competition, worked his people to death while making them think it was amazing, and utilized tax loop holes. I mean I don't care for him but to grow and empire like that is pretty impressive. I mean I'm impressed with Trump but a lot of people ask what his deal was. They say it was daddy's loan. It's pretty impressive what Bezos did even though he's a douche.

That's the logic I use with people. If I give you $1k today can you turn it into 9,000,000? If I give you $100 can you turn it into $100,000. The answer is no very slim chance especially for the types of idiots I use this argument with. They usually have no response other than "well at least I'm not a total piece of shit". Yeah, jury is still out on that one.

They did before. It was called Occupy Wallstreet and was another colossal failure that accomplished nothing until they all got bored and went home. It's a lot like their Socialist fantasies - we can make it work this time.

Reminded me of Remy's occupy protest song.

Occupy Wall Street was different and was trying to hold big business and the banking sector accountable (perhaps imperfectly), so it was subverted with the modern "progressive stack" and social justice ideology
