I thought the spiderman photo was a different meme. The spiderman photo is without glasses, everything is shit, but if you put glasses on, you can see life through whatever filter you want. In the meme its usually CNN glasses, where all the bad stuff is replaced with happy daisies, indicating that CNN lies about what really happens.
This meme seems different in that it is just a guy who is in disbelief, doing a double take on all the shit he is actually seeing.
Maybe that was the intent but people get it wrong a lot lol. This is a scene from the movie They Live. And in the movie these sunglasses show him that aliens have taken over and for some reason no one can see the truth. When the sunglasses are on reality is shown, without the sunglasses he sees the lie
