Wouldn't it be great to have a food line set up behind them shuttling them sandwiches and water all day. Massages after a shift. It would never happen because it would be ripe for sabotage. I think the best you can do is write a letter to the precinct and tell them how much you appreciate what they do and that you care about them.
There is another alternative but very risky, very retarded, and the police might see it as a hindrance and would probably remove us for good reason. We form our own barriers in front of the police with our own signs with messages of love. You fight and scream against our police, you do it against We The People.
I was thinking of showing up to the protest with a sign of David Dorn on one side & on the other it says "Justice & Peace." If asked, just say you're there to protest against violence, theft, and destruction caused by rioting and that you want neighbors to treat eachother with peace. If they ask you about George Floyd, just say that there are a million other voices protesting for Floyd, you're there to protest for an unsung hero.
I'd be tempted to say, "George who? Oh that ugly fucker painted on the wall over there? I heard he did prison time for mugging a woman in her house with a gun." Of course I would get killed. You're probably smarter than me so good luck.
Unfortunately, the reason why I wont do the above is because I'm the kind of person who has a hard time standing by when I see actions like violence, theft, or property destruction. There are multiple times where I've detained someone causing harm, when there were 30+ other people who stood around and did nothing. Even when I detained the asshole, still, nobody helped me. If I go out there by myself and do that, I'm going to get mobbed.
So yeah, the above was mostly talk, and I'm going to continue staying the hell away from it all.
There should be protests of some sort supporting cops, but there doesn't seem to be enough people brave enough for it. Or more likely, things haven't gotten -quite- bad enough for that to happen
I sure hope someone steps up with a plan to show our police some love and appreciation. I’m just so sad about how many have been killed and injured.

I'm not the type to stand around yelling either.
