Hello again, Pedes! I've seen a lot of people asking about gun laws, and in particular how to legally obtain a firearm. Additionally, folks want to know how to get a concealed carry permit.
Not to worry, Pedes! There's a website for that! Handgunlaw.us has information for all 50 states, and there's a ton of helpful information there for current gun owners, too! Can I carry in a bar? Do I have a duty to inform a law enforcement officer that I'm armed? Where can I or can't I carry? Answers at https://handgunlaw.us/
I have no affiliation with them, but they seem to keep their information up to date, and the site is useful if you're traveling out of state. They also have a reciprocity map, so you can see other states where your permit is valid.
Hope this helps!
Good point. The site still has information about all the ridiculous hoops you have to jump through for most states, though. I used it to navigate the the Mass process.
Update: Handgunlaw.us lists the requirements for a CCW permit, and it includes this: Has demonstrated a justifiable need to carry a handgun.

Another good one is non NY residents that own property in NY can apply but it will be issues as mostly likely sportsman restricted for at least a year. Then you can apply for full carry. But all states surrounding NY and NJ doesn't honor CC except vermont.
The Utah non-resident gets you something like 23 states with reciprocity, so that might be worth checking out. Doesn't do much in New England, though, or most of the Northeast :(
Similar to New Hampshire. But here's the kicker NJ residents aren't allow to transport across state lines. lol
FOPA should apply if the owner is legally allowed to possess in the state of origin and the state of destination, though. Just have to go far enough to be legal lol
