Its important to remember the USMC, "The President's Own." They guard POTUS, all the US embassies and nukes in the world. Theoretically the president could maintain diplomatic relations and nuclear capabilities even under a military coup. As a former Marine I am confident they will not fail in this mission.

I honestly think most of the mutineers will come from the Officer Corp, they're the dirtiest ones. The Enlisted and NCO Corps are overwhelming gonna side with us, because the majority of them hail from suburban areas and rural areas. Plus National Guard and Reservists are going to be more inclined to protect their areas because the units are more localized.
