Appeal to their egos. Tell them to go to Greenland at the Arctic Circle. (Trump was rumored to be considering purchasing this at one time.) Tell them they need to evaluate it for its strategic position in the event the sale goes through and plan an entire military complex based on the terrain. That kind of bullshit. Trajectory for future space launches if we decide to purchase. All kinds of bullshit. Or have them search for hidden extraterrestrial bases.
Although personally, I think getting to plan their own multi billion dollar project would appeal to their egos. It will never happen but we dont need to tell them that. LOL!
I think they need to follow orders or be tried accordingly.

Maybe that is why no action has been taken, no one is following orders.
That's why you have to outsmart them and offer them something far away that they think is "better". I threw that off the top of my head -- but if I really worked at the White House and was trying to help Trump get these characters off his case, I'd put more thought and creativity into a story to get them off chasing wild geese and out of his hair.
I have a problem with people who are giving my President grief. A nice little vacation at the Arctic Circle until after the election would be just about right.
